Hospital Admission Procedure Under New Pakistan Health Card

• Under this program, you will be provided a free treatment facility under New Pakistan Health Card in case of admission in selected public and private hospitals.

• Before going to the hospital for admission, make sure that you have a new Pakistan Health Card, your original National Identity Card, and their "B Form" in case of admission of children.

 

• Select the nearest hospital from any of our selected hospitals listed on the PHIMC website with these documents. Upon arrival, a representative of the program will be present at the hospital reception to guide you.

• The representative will check your National Identity Card and guide you to the relevant department.

• To avail New Pakistan Health Card, make your National Identity Card as soon as possible and ensure proper registration of all your data (eg marriage, birth, death etc.) in NADRA as soon as possible.

Treatment & Facilities under New Pakistan Health Card Program

 Secondary Treatment:

• Under this program, every family in Punjab has been provided protection up to Rs. 60,000 per annual in case of admitting in hospital .

• It includes all the treatments that require hospitalization.

• Pregnancy and related diseases in which hospitalization is necessary.

• Accident in which hospitalization is required.

• Secondary treatment involves maternity;

• Normal Delivery

• C section

• Maternal complications

• Four prenatal checkups, one postnatal checkup, and one newborn checkup

• One checkup after discharge from the hospital.

Preferred Treatment

• Under this program, every family in Punjab has been provided treatment up to Rs. 4 lakh per annum in case of hospitalization.

• Ten diseases included in the preferred treatment:

• Heart disease

• Diabetes-related complications that need to be addressed

• Accidental Injuries (In addition to saving lives, bone fractures, road accidents, burns)

• Treatment for organ failure (heart, liver, kidney, lung)

• Treatment of complications of chronic diseases, such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C.

• Cancer diseases

• Kidney disease in the last degree

• Nervous system surgery

• Thalassemia

• Kidney transplantation

In the following cases, the amount of New Pakistan Health Card can increase up to Rs. 700,000 per family per year.

• The patient is admitted to the hospital and the amount of money available for treatment has expired.

• The patient's life is in danger and the health card amount limit has already expired.

• Delivery Case.

• In special circumstances, in addition to these 7 lakhs, an additional amount of Rs. 3 lakhs may also be used, such as;

•  Ongoing treatment of cancer

• Treatment of heart disease, which is more than the prescribed insurance amount.

• Ongoing treatment of kidney diseases

• Kidney transplantation

• Thus, under the New Pakistan Health Card, each family will get health protection up to Rs. 1 million annually.
